Marie Louise

Marie Louise

Marie Louise is a low-lying coral island located approximately 308 km southwest of Mahe in the Amirantes Group, dominated by coconut palms and casuarina trees and retains a large number of breeding seabirds due to the absence of rats. Bisected by an airstrip, the site is used as a support-base for the collection of Sterna Fuscata eggs on the neighboring island of Desnoeufs to the southwest where there is no resident population outside the nesting season.
